Dave
Cowley is a 20-year radio veteran with stints at WBAP-Dallas/Fort
Worth, KLUR-Wichita Falls, KJNE -Waco, The Radio Ranch in Mineral
Wells and KYQX 89.5 Radio in Weatherford. In 1993, Dave hosted a
4-hour nationally
syndicated oldies radio show called “Class Reunion” to
over 130 radio stations coast to coast. Dave currently hosts the
morning radio show on “QX FM” with Brent
Baker. Dave's hobbies include fishing, golf and Bruce Springsteen
concerts.
To say that Dave is active in the community is an understatement.
Dave currently serves on the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce Board
of Directors,
Parker County Peach Festival Steering committee, the Chamber’s
Ambassador's program and is a member of the Texas Neighborhood
Services Board of Directors. Dave also serves on the Manna Store
House Board of Directors. The children of Weatherford and Parker
County are especially close to his heart as he serves on the Board
of Directors for the WISD Education Foundation as well as current
President of the Texas Scholars Program. Dave is former member of
the WISD facilities committee, and is an active member of Partners
in Education. Dave has served on the advisory board for the Parker
County Continuing Education program and advisory board for the United
Way.
Dave is active in Junior Achievement
and is a past director of the Theater Off The Square board where
he remains very active is the local theater. Dave has co-starred
in “Anything
Goes”, “On Golden Pond”, “You Can’t
Take It With You” and "Communicating Doors". He recently
starred as Frank Butler in the Weatherford College production of "Annie
Get Your Gun" and
Nathan Detroit in "Guys and Dolls"
Dave has
served on the Campbell Hospital Cuttin' Capitol Celebration Committee
as co-chairman
of media relations.
Dave is married to Linda; they have a daughter,
Stephanie, age 20, a son Mark, a daughter-in-law, Shaunda and two
grandchildren, Austin, age 7 and Lauren, age 4.
