Brent Baker is the News and Sports Director at QXFM. You can hear him weekday mornings with Dave Cowley on "Good Morning Parker County," as well as during football season on "The EndZone" with his co-host, Dave. Brent has been broadcasting for over a decade, gaining experience at radio stations such as KRLD, KPLX and KJZY in Dallas; KDNT and KNTU in Denton; KZEE in Weatherford and KYXS in Mineral Wells.

In 1996, Brent was honored for a one-of-a-kind basketball program, receiving the statewide "Golden Hoops Award" from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. He has also earned multiple awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations, competing against entries from a six-state area.

For four years, Brent produced "Soundcheck," a nationally-syndicated Christian music feature. His love for Christian music also brought him ten years as a musician in the prominent Dallas-area music scene, and he continues with music ministry at Trinity Bible Church in Willow Park. He is a 1994 Radio/Television/Film graduate of the University of North Texas, as well as a 2002 UNT master's degree holder in the field of Journalism/Public Relations.

Brent is also dean of external affairs at Weatherford College, responsible for marketing, alumni relations, fundraising, PR, and publications. He has worked at WC since 1997. He serves his community as a board member and past president of Christian Men's Fellowship of Parker County, as a member of Rotary Club of Weatherford and with various other organizations and efforts. Brent and his wife Elizabeth have three young children, and they reside in Weatherford.
